Microsoft and GoPro strike a patent licensing deal about file storaging and other system technologies.
Microsoft has signed a patent licensing agreement with action camera company GoPro, which covers “certain file storage and other system technologies.”
“This agreement with GoPro shows the incredible breadth of technology sharing enabled through patent transactions. Microsoft’s licensing of personal wearable technologies is seeing strong demand as we partner with companies from all industries to optimize solutions for their customers around the globe” said Nick Psyhogeos, president of Microsoft Technology Licensing.
GoPro is just the latest in a long line of companies to strike up patent licensing deals with Microsoft. As is typically the case, the terms of the deal were not disclosed, presumably for competitive reasons.
